Trinity BTV occupies the final former IBM semiconductor facility relocated from GlobalFoundries, now situated on Sandhill Road in Essex, Vermont, adjacent to Autumn Harp. This advanced manufacturing facility was originally designed for IBM’s semiconductor wafer and computer chip testing operations. Our team was contracted to perform a comprehensive HVAC renovation and building fit-up to support the requirements of the new tenant.
The project scope included the installation of two new industrial chillers, an industrial air compressor system complete with receivers and air dryers, and process chilled water piping distributed throughout the facility to serve semiconductor wafer testing tools. Dedicated IT rooms were upgraded and conditioned using Liebert CRAC units to ensure precise environmental control. Additional work included commercial bathroom upgrades, installation of 16 new VAV boxes, and multiple mechanical and infrastructure improvements to bring the facility up to modern operational standards.
