New England Air Systems recently completed a project at the UVMMC Dialysis building located on Joy Drive in South Burlington. This building provides dialysis services for patients 6 days a week, 16 hours a day and was in need of a new chiller for cooling their space during the day, essential for patients’ comfort.
To replace this 25-year-old system, we installed a new chiller, piping, and heat exchanger. All new exterior piping was put in from where the new chiller would be set, going to the interior mechanical room.
After completing pipework and testing, we reclaimed the refrigeration out of the old system and worked on demoing the existing piping with removal of the old chiller to set the new one in place. Using a rigging sub, we set the new chiller, completed the electrical and control work, and within 3 days we had the new system up and running.
